Mesentery
Not yet reviewed
The mesentery is a continuous fold of peritoneum suspending the small intestine, colon, and their vasculature from the posterior abdominal wall. Rather than a series of separate attachments, it forms one continuous peritoneal organ linking the gut to the retroperitoneum — a key structure in visceral fascial continuity.
